31st of October

Dylan just finished winning the piston cup.
Doesn't he look like a real race car driver with the fence in the background. To cute.
This was at his school they had a parade around the playground.
This is the second time Dylan has chosen to be a race car driver.
Note: about the costume, around the number 95 there are lights and in the corner of near his shoulder there is a button for the noise and lights, it makes a car starting up noise and lights up. So when we got the costume he put it on almost every day for a week or so and i would declare, "lightening McQueen's in the house" and Dylan would just laugh and laugh. What a picture though...just classic...

Disney on Ice

Date with Mommy

Jason got some suite tickets for Disney on ice, which is a great way to take kids to the events in the arena. So we went on a date. It was all about Dylan and I until we got to the suite and discovered...

Another boy...the same age as Dylan...
It was pretty entertaining.

Pumpkin Patch on the Coast

We ventured out to the pumpkin patch as a family, what an ordeal. We decided to go to the coast to a pumpkin patch right on the hillside, it was so beautful. We thought we might get hit with fog, but it turned out to be an awesome day. Some of you have asked how we move around with the twins; this is one way "baby bjorns" are very helpful...but i could never make it through the pumpkin patch with all three kids by myself. The coastline is so beautiful behind us
This pumpkin patch was neat; it had tunnels under the hay stacks for the kids to hide in, Dylan just loved going through them
Dylan holding Taryn
Taryn wouldn't look up she was so fascinated with the dirt
Nolan...so cute
Jason and Dylan searching for pumpkins
Okay i thought this was so funny...Jason holding a huge pumpkin to the wagon...we make due i tell you...

A Twin Visit to the doctor at five months

Visiting the doctor with the twins
These are so cute i just had to share them.
After the first two disasterous doctor apts by myself with the kids i decided it would be best to have Jason tag along and he thought it was a good idea as well. Having one child get shots is hard enough having two is tough. How come when your husband comes along it's never as hard as it was described??? I was lucky though the nurse gave Jason a look and a detailed explanation of why help was needed after the last visit. The doctor also was thrilled to see Jason tag along. Dylan was so thrilled to not have to tag along to one of the twins doctor visits....
This visit below went so smoothly, i mean even pictures, wow!

Taryn dressed before shots, doesn't she look SO cute!

Taryn preparing for shots before weighing in at 15lbs (already)! Taryn thought it was party time, little does she know... Preparing Nolan for weigh in at 17lbs at 5 months
Remember these guys were born at 34 weeks...cool huh...what a cutie!
Both getting ready for shots

Okay that's the end of the pictures before shots...we had to have all hands on deck after this photo...

Misc from September

My goodness September has flown by.
This month we had school, parties, grandparents visit and of course we were Johnny Apple Seed...see below. In any case, just some fun photos of this past month.
Johnny Apple Seed
My parents with Dylan outside. They were on their way back from a vacation up North

Dylan and Grandpa reading a story
Taryn busting out one of her cute smiles. When asked Dylan what he likes most about the twins, he says sweetly, "their smiles". Very cute! They do smile a lot.

Feeding time with twins is always a little challenging. One still nurses and the other takes a bottle and i tell you it's a juggling act...talk about multi-tasking. I always tell Dylan, "mommy wishes i had one more set of hands".
btw: the last post of Dylan in the kitchen with n in out...yes that is our make shift kitchen. We are looking forward to settling down and taking advantage of the housing market in the near future. If any of you remember to pray for us in this area that would be awesome! We are excited about what God has in store for us. I'm looking forward to a little more space in a kitchen, especially with the addition of twins. I know no one really cares, except for us, but just thought i would ramble...

BTW: Jason and I planned on taking some pictures of each other with the kiddos this past weekend, but once again we got caught up in misc...catching up around the house before another week.

Dylan turns Six

It took a whole year, but Dylan finally turned six. I say that only because after last year's birthday he could barely wait until he turned six. All year long he talked about turning six. So funny.
Okay and the birthday crown was from Kindergarten and he wore it all day and we even found him in bed with it on...so cute...
Since his birthday was on a Monday we had the party on a Saturday. However, I had to make the day fun for our big birthday boy. So I let him pick lunch and of course he chose "in n out". So we were going through the drive through and the lady taking our order heard Dylan say from the back seat "it's my birthday today". So she wrote on the receipt that there was a birthday boy in the back seat. Soooo when we picked up the food at the last window all the cute gals stuck their heads out the window and said, "Happy birthday...where's the birthday boy"...and made a big fuss...so cute"
Nolan was still sleeping, but Taryn was just staring at Dylan's crown
Dylan thought Taryn was so cute he kissed her...so sweet!

Tea

Tea...
After I stopped swimming competitively I decided not to drink this tea anymore...due to the calories. However, when Dylan started Kindergarten and i started running again at 5am i decided i needed a pick me up in the morning. More than ever. The twins sleep great at night, but having three kids i have never felt so exhausted at the end of the day. Even while training for tri's i've never felt so tired. It's a rewarding tired... In any case, so i drink a glass of sweet tea in the mornings now... What does anyone else do for a pick me up?

Since we are going through Proverbs as a family my latest favorite is and this is the NIV Adventure Bible.

"My son, hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right. Don't let them out of your sight. They will be life for you. They will be like a gracious necklace around your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety. You will not trip and fall, When you lie down you won't be afraid When you lie down you will sleep soundly."
