Thanksigiving 2007
Okay so they are not professional photos and each time we take a family picture someone is missing, but at least we are taking pictures in the midst of all the excitement at the beach.
What a beautiful day it was at our favorite beach, Montana de oro state beach.
Jason was so thrilled he was finally able to pull a starfish off the rocks (after much effort). Cute huh. The unfortunate thing was all the kids were at the shore by the time he actually pulled it off, but I was there and captured the whole moment. Honestly, I'm glad I was there...

My parents. Aren't they looking great for being in their sixties. They are still hiking and they still love each other very much. It was great for us all to be together for a holiday.
Okay so you can probably tell in this photo that i am starting to show. I've actually lost a little weight because i've been throwing up so much. These twins man they are already a handful. If you notice the time of these posts...yes i'm suffering from insomnia and I actually just finished throwing up everything I had for dinner (or should i say the snacks i had). I'm debating now whether or not to go on the anti-nausious medicine the doctor prescribed. Okay, but i'm thankful to be pregnant and it's only a phase.
o'back to Thanksgiving in SLO.
The sun was setting and it was time to go, but I thought this was such a cute photo with my parents and Dylan and Aubrey.

The kids having chocolote milk in my parents backyard. Boy, do they love each other.

Dylan can hardly function when he knows he's going to see his cousins. He gets so excited. They play so well together too. What a great stage in life this is...o'if we could all be five again.
Well, i better get off to bed...I'll post the cutting down the Christmas tree photos on Valentines day...that way i'll stay with my blog holiday routine. Just kidding. Those turned out really cute as well. So i'll be postingn lost on my next insomnia evening, i'm sure there will be another.

Thanksgiving in San Luis with my parents, brother, sister-in-law and kids.
The beach was so beautiful that day...wait dad you didn't make it in this photo.
We'll catch you in the next one. Man my parents look great for being in their sixties.

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving started out with a bang.
Before going down south Dylan broke a bone in his wrist
at a park in Willow glen.
The doctor said it was a great bone to break because it heals quickly.

October 2007

Carving Pumpkins together. Jason is quite the artist with the pumpkins, so despite differing opinions on to carve or not to carve, we carve! Dylan drew his face on and I helped him cut it out this year. They both really enjoying doing this together (and I enjoy taking pictures...) More to come...

Pumpkins...harvest...costumes...

This year Dylan's school field trip was to a great pumpkin patch in Morgan Hill. It was crazy, they had a educational side to the pumpkin patch, which taught the children hands on of how the pumpkins grow; train & tractor rides, displays, corn maze, sunflower fields, it was beautiful.

September 2007

Old friends from San Jose. Riley and Dylan were first friends when they were babies and moving back up to San Jose they got reunited quickly...like it was yesterday.

Melissa and Nate had a second while we were gone, Ciara.
Dylan treats her like a little sister.

San Diego 2007

Summer 2007 June/JulyThis is our third summer going to San Diego and house sitting for a previous neighbor of ours in Encinitas. This year was a little different because none of our husbands could make it. The weather and the beaches were spectacular and all we were missing were our husbands there to enjoy it with us this year.

Sharon brought the girls for a couple of days and after two days at the beach we decided to try and take photos in the backyard. As you can tell all the kids were tired, but we managed to get a few photos in...

The house in which we dwell...and take care of for a couple of weeks. God has blessed them with a beautiful home, which they use frequently to bless others.

Almost every evening you see hot air balloons pass over the house.

Mom and I with the girls!

Before the girls came we took Dylan to the beach almost every day and before

we even set our stuff down he made a new friend... He really loves the ocean! (and we do too) The little boy in the orange played with Dylan for hours and told us "knock knock" jokes, one after the other (and we thought it was just a Dylan thing to tell knock knock jokes) It was hilarious.

The second pictures is of a little girl Dylan befriended who was just a "free spirited beach girl", here they were pretending to surf.

Dylan started really getting into boogie boarding this year and just loved it soo much.

Cambria loved it as well.

I would hold onto the chords and swing them like they were water skiing over waves and they would just laugh and ask for more...

Sharon and the kids...

He smiled from start to finish...and stayed out in the ocean for hours.

Before the girls came I would body surf and Grandma kept and eye on Dylan...

Okay I know my blog is all out of order...so i'm learning and working on it...but here it is so far.

Shelly's Running buddies in Bakersfield
Sharon and Tanya were so gracious to allow me to join them on their MWF runs and boy were they early. Cracking the dawn at 4:45 on Wed and 5am on Monday and Fridays. We ran, biked and swam and were able to accomplish some amazing goals; triathlons and races...
These gals are commited and what wonderful women they truly are; commited not only to running, but to the Lord and their families. I feel honored to have them as examples in my life and to be able to have spent the last couple of years running with them.
Thank you for all you've done for me and our family.
Our first home in Bakersfield California
The below picture was taken on moving day in April 2007. Actually right after we took this picture, my parents and Jason and I got into cars and a moving van and ventured up North to San Jose.We enjoyed our home and were able to work on it as a family. See that rose tree in the back and the grass, we dug and planted all on our own...we put a lot of work into this home. We were thankful God provided it for us. One of the things we learned as a couple is you don't have to have a morgage to call a place home. We grew a lot in Bakersfield as a couple and a family. Our friends and times there will never be forgotten.

Natural Bridges state Beach Santa Cruz
June 13, 2007
Friends from Bakersfield came to visit and we had a day at the beach with teh kids.
It was a gorgeous day at the beach. A little windy, but we found a starfish and as you can see in the photo a feather and stick on the way out.
This is one of our favorite beaches on the coast up here.

Since we are going through Proverbs as a family my latest favorite is and this is the NIV Adventure Bible.

"My son, hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right. Don't let them out of your sight. They will be life for you. They will be like a gracious necklace around your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety. You will not trip and fall, When you lie down you won't be afraid When you lie down you will sleep soundly."

Proverbs 3: 21-24
