I'm No Martha Stewart

I've got to give myself a break

I've been trying to think of some cool things to do for Easter so i went on Martha Stewart's website like i've done in the past.

I thought this was an adorable idea and so easy, but i'd have to hunt down a couple of things and go to a couple of different stores. Maybe next year.

Then there are the yarn flowers, which should probably done another year as well. (btw: my mom makes the most adorable hand knit flowers ... if you go to their church i'm sure you have seen a lady or two with them on. They are simply adorable. I keep meaning to give them a go. I should have her be a guest blogger and show everyone how to make them they are so perfect).
Then i just thought this was hilarious a "peep" centerpiece...look closely....
Then i reminded myself i have twin "two"year olds and a active seven year old and realistically I would do all that work and it wouldn't last a day.

However, "Crunchy Chicks in a Cereal Nest" is realistic for me and super cute. SO i'm going to give it a go... Although i am no Martha Stewart i thought this looked pretty easy and enjoyable for the kids to help prepare and eat.
All to say Martha Stewart has some pretty cute ideas this year, but i can only do so much. I'm working on their Easter pals and the above treat, but really trying not to do too much. Finding the Easter pals has been rather time consuming, but i'm hoping they last a long time and are super cute.

Big Dreams

So many of you know (I'm still typing on a blackberry so bear with me...) This is our second time around in the bay area. The first was such a crazy time. Being here for the tech boom and then during sept 11 it was wild!
So now we are here again during a hard time for everyone. Well I just have to share this past year the most exciting event happened yet in the bay area... Chip Ingram came to be the teaching pastor at our church and boy is it awesome to see Venture grow by 6O percent in less than a year and to meet all these people whose lives are changing. Chip has a vision and a heart for the bay area and boy o' boy is it exciting to b e a part of it especially here in one of the most unchurched areas of the country, where divorce is high and lots of other issues...
Chip is leading our small groups out into the community to help others and serve and it's so cool to be a part of it.
So many people are searching for meaning in there lives and it's so neat to see them grow at Venture and to serve young families as a family.

Good News

Good news I think we finally found the cord to the computer we left it in SLO, bad news is our computer got dust ... So much it melted the inside. Someone rescued our hard-drive thankfully (I had tons of baby pictures and school stuff). So now we are shopping for a new computer... Life...

It's all been good though because honestly up until a month or so ago (despite the logistical side to twins) it's been a lot easier than the current (different challenges)! Whew busy. Apparently this is the toughest time with twins and I would have to agree. O'my I've had some crazy things happen, but with that said... Dylan and I laugh so much more they are SO funny (along with Dylan).
Anyway all to say it's actually been really good to be without a computer, especially right now.
A computer fast every now and then is not a bad thing... Have you ever tried one?

Since we are going through Proverbs as a family my latest favorite is and this is the NIV Adventure Bible.

"My son, hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right. Don't let them out of your sight. They will be life for you. They will be like a gracious necklace around your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety. You will not trip and fall, When you lie down you won't be afraid When you lie down you will sleep soundly."
