To have a girl

To have a girl...
(yes this is the same corner of the crib, i'm a little limited when it's 99 out)

Okay so i have to confess for the first time I went out and purchased a cute hair bow to stay in Taryn's hair. We have a girl I had to find something, right. I keep getting the question, "two boys?" no she's a girl (without a bow, but wearing purple or pink??!@#!). So I had to result to the hair bow to show to all those who peak in our stroller while we are out. No...no...no...it's really just for me. One of the joys of having a girl is the hair bows.

Taryn is just the cutest little girl. She is so easy going and just feels mushy compared to Nolan. Don't get me wrong we just adore Nolan, there is just something about girls that is so cute!

This white dress is one I picked out for my first niece about seven years ago, cute huh! Taryn is so cute every time we put a dress on her she tries to eat it. So much for a binky mom, i'd rather have a dress to chew on.

Kindergarten

Dylan's first day of Kindergarten!
YIPEE
Due to the following medical issues last week; the doctor thought he would probably miss the first day of Kindergarten. We were so thankful that come Sunday the doctor at the hospital said he could attend. WOW! He is officially in Kindergarten, he has been so excited to start all summer. He's just thrilled to be going to a "big kid" school.
Dylan was the first one to line up next to the door of his class. Hey what's the water on your shirt from? "O'brushing my teeth mom" What I don't notice these days having three kids. I just hope that one morning he doesn't go to school in his P.J's or with toothpaste all over his face... Hopefully I would notice, wouldn't I?? Do other mom's of more than one child notice these things?

The twins
Some of you have been asking for some recent pictures of the twins...
It is not easy to get a good picture of the twins, but these turned out okay.
So here's a bunch of recent pictures. We've heard at about six months twins discover each other. It's really cute lately they have been checking each other out more.
They are almost four months and both smiling away.

Vacation in SLO

San Luis Obispo
Could it get better than SLO town...

Cambria and I rubbing noses (Cambria's idea)

So our vacation time was limited to San Luis Obispo this year due to the twins age (and honestly due to the nature of the twins, we weren't brave enough to go out alone with all three to a unfamiliar destination...)

But who could not like SLO we were able to do all our favorite things and have help with the kids, which is so great! We also got to see our niece
s whom we just adore. They are all getting so big now. The girls came for two days and one night and boy was it fun. The kids play so great together and are so tired at the end of the day.
Chalk was a big hit with the kids

Jason was a big hit with the kids, he chased them around the house for hours playing Monster and then did chalk with them...Mr. Artsy.

Sharon and the girls & Dylan; Dylan insisted on wearing his helmit to look like he was racing and holding a rock???
Aubrey wanted a picture with Aunt Shelly as well, so cute!

in-between playing with the kids we took time to feed, play and put to bed the twins...whew!Good job Jason

Since we are going through Proverbs as a family my latest favorite is and this is the NIV Adventure Bible.

"My son, hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right. Don't let them out of your sight. They will be life for you. They will be like a gracious necklace around your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety. You will not trip and fall, When you lie down you won't be afraid When you lie down you will sleep soundly."

Proverbs 3: 21-24
