Big Dreams

So many of you know (I'm still typing on a blackberry so bear with me...) This is our second time around in the bay area. The first was such a crazy time. Being here for the tech boom and then during sept 11 it was wild!
So now we are here again during a hard time for everyone. Well I just have to share this past year the most exciting event happened yet in the bay area... Chip Ingram came to be the teaching pastor at our church and boy is it awesome to see Venture grow by 6O percent in less than a year and to meet all these people whose lives are changing. Chip has a vision and a heart for the bay area and boy o' boy is it exciting to b e a part of it especially here in one of the most unchurched areas of the country, where divorce is high and lots of other issues...
Chip is leading our small groups out into the community to help others and serve and it's so cool to be a part of it.
So many people are searching for meaning in there lives and it's so neat to see them grow at Venture and to serve young families as a family.

Spiritual Gifts

Spiritual Gifts can be a extremely touchy topic to speak on for a pastor.

Just being honest here...coming from Masters college background I've heard a lot of messages on spiritual gifts, but this last Sunday Chip Ingram our new pastor gave a wonderful message on spiritual gifts and i thought i would share it.
